The photo I am posting is of my very first project. It is a Christmas gift I made for my friend, Lexie. I know this is so late but I am very proud of my first project. It was my first time using a Cricut! I do not own one but Lexie's mom, Mama Teri, was kind enough to let me use hers and gave me a few lessons on how to use it. Anyway, here is a photo. (Sorry for the poor quality and lighting. I am no photographer!) It was a really simple project but also very time consuming because I had to line up and glue all of the letters to the canvas. Also, I painted my canvas with black acrylic paint because the store was out of black canvas.
Materials I used:
Scrapbooking paper
Three 12x12 canvasses
Black acrylic paint and paintbrush (optional)
Glue (I used a clear glue with a very thin nozzle for more control)
Cricut and font cartridges
Step 1: Paint the canvas black (or your desired color!) and let it dry.
Step 2: Cut out the letters using the Cricut. Do one canvas at a time so that you do not mix up letters and fonts!
Step 3: Lay out the letters on each canvas in the way that you want them to be lined up.
Step 4: Glue the letters onto the canvas and allow to dry.
Very simple! I am very proud of my first project!
